Hosted by salesforce.com, the Dreamforce 2014 conference was a four day whirlwind of innovation, inspiration and networking. The 150,000 attendees and some 7 million online viewers had the chance to hear from some of the leading visionaries in tech and business today. Conference goers were also able socialise and have fun enjoying a sparkling line up of live music to socialise and have fun.
Dreamforce’s impressive line-up was spearheaded by key note speakers such as Hillary Clinton and some of the most unique minds in business such as Marc Benioff, Chairman and CEO of salesforce.com. Also inspiring listeners with talks were inspirational and respected speakers such as Al Gore, Neil Young and Arianna Huffington.
In her Dreamforce speech Hillary Clinton said, “What we have to be really focused on now is making sure that the benefits of technology to people’s lives outweigh the pitfalls — and it is as evenly distributed as it is possible to do — creating more jobs, connecting up more families and communities, and expanding our horizons.”
She went on to praise Marc Benioff, Sales force CEO for his substantial philanthropic work and support for the Clinton Foundation’s literacy program Too Small to Fail. She championed Net Neutrality which would prevent internet providers to slow down content for those who couldn’t afford to pay fees, describing freedom to access the internet as, “in line with freedom of speech. It is absolutely clear to me we have to keep the Internet open," she said.
The innovative spirit of Dreamforce is reflected in the choice of speakers whose ideas can impact and benefit the world. Dreamforce provides a chance for individuals to learn from these leaders, visionaries and experts in their fields with a view to applying what they have learnt to their own businesses and projects.
