For makeup, it needs to be better communicated that the products you directly apply to your face can affect your health and the environment overall. It may be a worthwhile step overall to introduce more conscious makeup into your makeup collection. If you're a fan of simple, high quality, eco-friendly makeup, then these multiuse colorsticks are for you. Alyson tells us more:
If green beauty is your thing, W3ll People is worth checking out.
This brand is super conscious about what it puts into its products and its impact on the environment. Basically, its products do not contain artificial preservatives, parabens, pthalates, or any ingredients that may harm your body in the long run.
W3ll People is all about minimalistic beauty with multi-use products that are super wearable for everyday. For all you makeup lovers, think no makeup makeup.
This is my first time trying W3ll People and since this Colorstick looks really similar to another famous color stick, I wanted to see how this one compared.
From its luminous range, I tried both shades available: Satin Blood Orange and Creamy Pink.
Both are shimmery, but Creamy Pink has additional glitter particles.
The texture of these Colorsticks are essentially like cream blushes and because of its stick form, it was really easy to apply and blend.
On my skin tone, Creamy Pink looked really really sheer, but it’s definitely buildable (see swatch below)! The glitter wasn’t in-your-face, but added more luminosity to my cheeks.
Satin Blood Orange was much more pigmented and I preferred using this one more.
Surprisingly, the Colorsticks lasted on my skin longer than I expected. If you’re oily like me, set it with translucent powder or a powder blush for extra staying power.
Although I didn’t use the Colorstick on my eyes (you totally could if you wanted to!), I tried Satin Blood Orange on my lips for a really natural wash of color. You probably guessed already, but Creamy Pink did not show up on my lips.
I think because of the ingredients W3LL uses without any preservatives, the Colorstick smelled a little bit funny (almost stale) so I recommend when you buy this to use it pretty frequently before it goes off.
Have you heard of W3ll People? Is green beauty something you’re interested in?
