Paris Fashion Week- What’s Really RTW

I know spring has barely arrived- in fact, to be completely honest, I haven’t moved into the strong spring colors that graced the runways last fall. I’m still rocking the black with an occasional dip of blue and possibly gray.   So the chance to wear my hot multicolored summer sundresses really does seem to far into the future to imagine. For the fashion world, talking about fall is perfect in spring so, early this   month Paris Fashion week 2011 set the stage for what we’ll be salivating over in the fall.

Gloomy grays and tough industrial tweeds at Chanel with mannish biker boots had me a little confused. How does the industry jump from teal blues, bright neon greens and sun yellows in spring   to the brooding shadows of gray and more gray in the fall? It’s not to say that every shade of gray and every tone of black wasn’t represented at Paris Fashion week- and it’s not that I’m complaining. I love black and I love gray, they are the two easiest colors to work with.

I was happier to see that Fendi played with color and feminity for the fall 2011 collection. I really like the ribbed wool stocking that showed up in different colors. So far, I think the sunset orange with chunky heel mustard Mary Janes had me thinking of all the possibilities of fall with splashes of artful color. I also liked the defined rounded colorful handbags.   Not only did the splashes of color with the accessories make sense with Fendi’s ready to wear line, it’s also safe for fashionista’s who don’t want to spend too much to update a look.

Accessories are the best way to update you’re look. They can turn an otherwise drab outfit into a fashionable eye popping high fashion piece of art.

My favorite clothing season is fall-   it's the time when we can recycle and reuse last year's black dress, gray pants or off gray jacket and add a little splash of something to make it seem new. Isn't that what fashion is anyways, just a recycling of the past.

Stay gorgeous!
