New Marvel Superhero Is Muslim And A Girl

Marvel Comics has created a new female superhero and she's a Muslim teenager who lives with her parents in Jersey City.   The character, Kamala Khan, is the brainchild of Marvel editors Sana  Amanat and Steve Wacker. She's also a great example of why we need diversity in the workplace.   Kamala was created because Sana Amanat, a Muslim-American, started talking about her childhood with Wacker. I wouldn't have thought to create that character and it's doubtful a white man would have either.   Diversity breeds creativity and innovation.
