What Would Ruth Bader Ginsburg Look Like as a Disney Princess?

Artist David Tremble created Disney princess versions of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Hillary Clinton, Rosa Parks and more inspirational women in an attempt to show how one-deminsional princessified depictions of women truly are. Seeing these smart, strong women portrayed as shiny, sparkly girlie girls really drives home how reductive princess culture is. To take an incredibly accomplished woman like Gloria Steinem and represent her as a character who is little more than eye candy demonstrates the extent to which our popular culture  ¬†often values women for their appearances -- and their willingness to uphold traditional conceptions of femininity -- before anything else.
