A recent Gallup Poll demonstrates that growing numbers of Americans say that the country would be better off with more women leaders. Those numbers are up from 57% in 2000. With only about 20% of congress made up of women it certainly wouldn't be hard to improve on those numbers.
I also find it encouraging that 59% of Americans believe that the country would be better if more moderates were in office. At the same time it seems strange that so few people value compromise (38%) when our country was founded upon it.
