Clothing Conundrum: How to Know If You Are Actually Wearing Pants (Infographic)

When I was in my mid-twenties, I had a recurring dream that was most unsettling. I would be walking along through a shopping center, browsing at the items on display, when I would glance down and realize to my dismay that I was not, in fact, wearing any pants. In more than a few instances I would try to wedge myself into a rack of clothing, trying to hide my exposed bottom half. Other times I would try to hide behind shelves and zig-zag my way to an exit where I could escape the prying eyes of strangers. The relief I felt when I awoke safe in my own bed was immense.

Unfortunately, with the rising popularity of ‘activewear’, this bad dream has become a waking nightmare. Countless women leave the house every day sans pants, seemingly unaware of their misfortune. To save yourself from this pantsless plight, avail yourself of the following; a guidepost of sorts to help you determine whether or not you are, in fact wearing actual pants, as opposed to their evil impostors. My favorite takeaway? ‘If your pants have feet in them, they are actually tights, not pants.’ That’s real wisdom right there.
